Healing through Writing, Storytelling, and Art

Thank you, Carmy, for such an inspirational workshop on the journey of healing. What spoke to my heart - Forgiveness is Freeness - As we grapple with all our losses in life, we need to listen to our heart, forgive ourselves and others, to find peace and joy within our lives. Thank you for your insightful perspective. The workshop was a pleasure.

On the

Creativity & Silence Meetings

Since we started our Creativity & Silence gatherings, I have found a calm, peaceful place to feel!

I feel that I have grown in my own spiritual journey and Carmy has been a great influence and provider thru her knowledge and guidance.

Dear Carmy, I have seen how you not only taught us English but also pointed to us the meaning of life, the truth and many useful things for our daily life. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for that great presentation - well made and well given. Thanks for sharing your video too - makes me think. The exercises were all good 'get-you-started' sort of things.

The Power of Sound for Storytelling, Poetry and Art

Early in April, I attended Carmy's workshop. The Power of Sound for Storytelling, Poetry and Art.  It sounded interesting and because I am a storyteller, I write novels. I went in curious, not knowing what to expect. I arrived late—rushed and agitated. But over the next two and a half hours, something shifted. Through Carmy Stubbs’ calming voice, layered with instrumental music and soft drumming, I felt my body settle. My breath slowed. My mind opened. The sounds invited us to write. To draw. To listen—not just outwardly, but inwardly, and to go on a daydream with our eyes closed. I usually don't have time for such luxuries.
I left with a deeper awareness of my own energy, and new ideas on how to engage all the senses in my writing. It felt like meditation meeting the arts. If you ever have the chance, try it. You'll be amazed.

Hello. My name is Jesus. I'm a doctor and, for years, Carmy was my English teacher. I didn't learn much English because I was a very undisciplined student, but I greatly enjoyed it and I learned many important things about life, love and happiness. To study with Carmy was an unforgettable experience.
